A Trip To New Lanark Visitor Attraction is proposed for Tuesday 8th July.

A 49 Seater Barc Coach has been provisionally booked.

Members can choose to take a guided tour of New Lanark or visit individually (for info on attraction visit newlanark.org).

COSTS PER PERSON

Individual Tour & bus  £23.

Guided tour & bus £27 (minimum number of 20 required for guided tour).

Tip for driver is not included but if appropriate will be by donation on homeward journey.

These prices are already reduced for aU3a groups and cards such as HHA are not accepted.

For members with restricted mobility, please note it is a 5 - 10 minute walk from the coach park to the attraction (Please let us know if this may be a problem and we may be able to assist).

CATERING

There is a café and a restaurant on site and plenty of space outside in the gardens if you wish to bring a picnic.

There are group booking offers in the café (minimum 15) of sandwiches, homemade scone with butter and jam, tea or coffee for £10, or soup and sandwiches, tea or coffee for £13.

At present it is thought that the bus will leave Peebles at 9.30 and return late afternoon.  More details will be available later.

The trip  will be confirmed provided we can take up a minimum of 35 seats on the bus and can have a couple of members volunteer to help on the day - counting heads on the bus and so on.

Members can be accompanied by a carer who will be charged at the same rate.

If we still have seats on the bus after members who are interested are accommodated, then spouses or friends who are not members of Tu3a can be accommodated for the same rate as a member.

Please notify our Joint Programme Organiser of your intention to come on the trip by 29th April. 

Please indicate whether you wish a self led visit or a guided tour and whether or not you wish to take advantage of the cafe offer.

We need a firm indication of whether enough members are interested before the trip can go ahead.If there are sufficient numbers we will confirm with New Lanark and with the bus.

Some time shortly after confirmation we will be asking for payment.  Once everything is firmly booked there can be no refunds unless there is a waiting list or you can find someone to take your place.
